PEOPLE/FACES IS OUR JUNE CHALLENGE WITH A CREATIVE NEED

I just love this pretty face from Deena's creations. The string of flowers gives her quite a romantic feel. And I am a serious romantic (what with my writing and all). This face says alot to me about this young womans' character. I see her self-assured, not so that she can't show vulnerability. Honest and fun to be around, she dares in life and the flowers says it all. She is aware of her charming features without over using them. She stands tall and ready to help when needed. What a woman! This is what I aspire to become when I grow up. HA! HA! HA!

Needless to say, this image inspired someone today.

So what does this face say to you? Join us and find out how you can play with masculine faces too.

MOTHERS' DAY WITH A CREATIVE NEED CHALLENGE

Hello to all,

I have been looking forward to show you this bookmark since I made it and now I am a bit late on my challenge post. I thought for sure I had wrote it up, but nope, It seems I had not. So today I am very happy to show it off and inviting you all to play A CREATIVE NEED CHALLENGE this month as it is that we make a project that reminds us of something we enjoy doing with our mothers.

For mom and I it's been reading. She never read a bedtime story to me, Too busy working all day and then coming home and working some more. But I did get to see her read at times. I noticed she was relaxed then and thought she deserved a break from all six of us and my dad too at times. Now, I do some reading to her now as some of you might know she has alzheimers and can't read and our conversations are limited. So reading to her is relaxing to me and to her, I hope dearly. It helps me spend more time with her in the nursing home.

Hope you all get to have a relaxing time on mothers day. Take a break from working and responsibilities, just for that day and do whatever it is you enjoy.

Thank you for stopping by, Peggyxo

A DAY FOR DAISIES & LACE

Hello,

Today, I thought I would play the A DAY FOR DAISIES CHALLENGE with this beautiful flower for Mother's day. I love reading as I have talked about here from time to time, so this bookmark was going through my mind and when I looked at some of the awesome projects in this week's challenge, I really gave it a go and I really enjoy where it took me. The sentiment says ''Reading is a little like dreaming.'' Thank you Tammy again for an inspirational theme and image.

Thank you for stopping by, have a nice day.

A DAY FOR DAISIES & MORE...

Hello to all, I spent yesterday and some part of today creating cards just for the fun of it all. It's been raining, I've been busy with life and chores. So I thought gee, I needed some time to play in my craft room. So here is the results of my funtime. I made the A DAY FOR DAISIES challenge, it was easy this month, ANYTHING GOES. I went simple with a few layers and coloring makes me relax, I didn't realise how much I missed it.

This little baby blue elephant card I made because there are actually three young women around me that are expecting babies by the end of summer. Yes, I know it's early, but I prefer being prepared.

This little sweetie pie card from The Greeting Farm is for my special middle granddaughter Alice. She has some attitude just like this little image.  This one is early also.

This one is for our playful little last granddaughter Daphnée. She loves animals and that little curly doll reminds me of her. Oh man, is this one early too.

So I am glad you could stop by today. I enjoy sharing my little magics.

ART JOURNALING AT ACREATIVENEED CHALLENGE THIS MONTH

Hello to all,

This month Deena is suggesting we play with art journaling. This is my first project really and I thought I would make a diary cover with Deena's Bird flourish and script collage stamp digital image. I played with different inks and added on stenciled stars and highlighted them with white gel pen and half beads in the center. I finished it with a laquer to hold all the colors in place.

It was quite a challenge. But really, alot of fun to create. Thank you Deena, this really pushed my creative juices.

Now we invite you all to try yourself out at this month's challenge at ACREATIVENEED BLOG. Anything is possible with this kind of creativity and sky's the limit.

I HEART BOOKS AT A CREATIVE NEED CHALLENGE

Hello to all,

Isn't this a beautiful image and yes it is a flower made of different hearts. So this month's challenge at A CREATIVE NEED is Whatever passion you have show us in a card or project of any kind. Be inspired Deena's images, I used the pretty flower image using the big letters in books so you can imagine what my passion is. Be it reading, or trying to write some short stories to publish one of my own one day. Yes I love everything about books. From the first page where you get to read all about the author, the year of publishing,etc... I go right to the end and look for how many pages there are in it. Then I read the acknowledgements from the author so I know a bit more about the person behind the book. Well that is it for me today.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you play this month so I can stop by your blog and have a peek at your work too.

Hugsxo
